It is summer time and this is a huge season for weddings and perhaps you are invited to some. Don’t forget the economy is not the greatest and you are wondering what would make a heart-felt, long lasting wedding gift and that would be a personalized poem.

I am starting a business and I am by myself (really that is how small of a business I am) so what if I need something like a new website design or lawyer or an accountant, what would I do? I really could not pass up an oppurtunity to spend less per post at Pay Per Post, they are doing an experiment where they dropped the cost per post to I believe $.25. Of course, I could have been that cheap but I decided on $2.00. I bought 20 posts plus the $10 service fee and the grand total is $50. What I am expecting, oddly enough are not sales. This was all about page rank since every post I bought had links to be followed and the keyword was personalized poems because that is what I am really pushing.  If I do get a sale than so be it but I think Social Spark will offer more in the way of sales than Pay Per Post.

At the time I am writing this, my page rank is a 1 which is not bad and I should do more participating in link exchanges and such to get more incoming links. The top site for this keyword is a pr 3 the last time I checked so if I know how this works I need at least a pr3 or more to be on top page of search results for “personalized poems”.  What this means is Google will be bring the most traffic from search which is what I want but people will not flip through dozens and dozens of pages to find, they rarely go to page 2.  I need to be one page on for this business to thrive.

I am also thinking of other ways to advetise and make sales, I may just have to buy those pens and take them to work and let people take them. Advertising is the biggest expense when starting a business.

Sometimes the poems are good and we all are on the same page and other times the poems take drastic turns.
